Gavin  Levy

Gavin Levy holds a bachelor’s degree in theatre arts from Texas A&M University-Kingsville, an A.L.A.M. from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, an acting diploma from the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts and has over fifteen years of experience in acting, directing and writing. Mr. Levy received his three-year acting diploma in 1995.

While living in London, Mr. Levy became involved with Theatre in Education and in the Dragon Drama Theatre Company. With the Theatre in Education, Mr. Levy traveled extensively to schools throughout England and presented plays with an educational message. As an active member of the Dragon Drama Company, Mr. Levy continued to educate children through theatre by teaching them skills through acting and improvisation as well as organizing and coordinating acting workshops.

In 1999, Mr. Levy came to the United States to continue his acting and to further pursue his interest in incorporating the theories of acting with the education of the professional and novice actor. Mr. Levy has written several plays, including A Day in the Life of Me and My Cup of Tea and Adam and Martha. Both of these plays were produced at the Jefferson Playwriting Festival in 2000. In the summer of 2004, Mr. Levy participated in the Central Texas Writing Project (CTWP). Mr. Levy participated in The Frontera Fest 2005 in Austin, Texas, as both playwright and director.
