Three Fairy Tale Parodies

By: Janet Reyes

Age Level: Middle Grades to High School
Cast: 5-12 per skit, mixed
Time: 8-15 minutes each

Take fairy tale characters out of context -- result, big time laughter! Includes: 1. Snow White’s Bad Day-- After escaping the Queen, Snow seeks the dwarves’ house but finds the gingerbread house with three bears and Goldie, Little Red, B.B. Wolf, Cinderella, Godmother, and Jack’s beanstalk. 2. The Hesitant Prince-- Kissing a sleeping beauty in various spots turns her into a chicken, monkey, cat, and squid before the Prince can break the spell. 3. Three Young Adult Pigs-- Siblings go their separate ways, lazy Chris winds up with only a pile of straw, Robin manages the Sticks Around Motel, and Lyle is an architect with the brick mansion "San Swinean." When hurricane Wolf blows down the straw and stick homes, greedy Lyle refuses to help until he realizes what a pig he’s been. Minimum costumes, simple sets and props required. Excellent for variety shows.
